If you want to enjoy the teeth-straightening benefits of traditional braces without all the food restrictions and lifestyle limitations, ClearCorrect clear plastic aligners may be the right choice for you. At Butterfly Dental Care, we are a certified ClearCorrect provider in the San Jose area. As part of our orthodontic services, Dr. Chen and Dr. Nguyen use the ClearCorrect system to help our patients achieve beautiful, long-lasting, natural-looking smiles that they can’t wait to show off to others.
What is ClearCorrect?
ClearCorrect is a clear aligner system that’s used to straighten teeth as an alternative to traditional braces. Available to general dentists or orthodontists certified to offer them to patients, ClearCorrect straightens teeth using a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners. Over time, those aligners gradually move the teeth, eventually correcting the patient’s smile to create a new, revitalized look.
Is ClearCorrect Better Than Braces?
Much like fixed braces, ClearCorrect removable aligners can be used to treat orthodontic conditions that include crowded teeth, overbites, underbites, improperly spaced teeth, and crooked or rotated teeth.
Unlike fixed braces, ClearCorrect offers these patient advantages:
What is the Process for Getting ClearCorrect?
ClearCorrect is currently available to treat adults and teenagers, although children who don’t yet have all their molars and elderly patients who present with more complicated dental issues may also be candidates for ClearCorrect.
ClearCorrect is indicated for patients with mild-to-moderate teeth misalignments or improper bites (oral malocclusions), and may not be suitable for certain misalignment cases or complex bite problems. Patients who are screened with more serious smile imperfections are further evaluated by our in-house orthodontist, Dr. Nguyen. Determining if you are a candidate for ClearCorrect can easily be done by scheduling an orthodontic screening with Dr. Chen or Dr. Nguyen.
If you are a candidate for ClearCorrect, here’s what you can expect during your course-of-treatment:
How Long Do I Need to Wear ClearCorrect Aligners?
After wearing each aligner set, results will be noticeable as your teeth begin gradually adjusting and aligning to your desired smile. Periodic check-ups with Dr. Chen or Dr. Nguyen are required to evaluate progress and receive your next set of ClearCorrect aligners. This sequence will continue until you have achieved your new smile. Treatment time can vary from one to two years, depending upon your specific condition and degree of misalignment.
