If your goal is to have a straighter, more beautiful smile that truly reflects who you are, Invisalign is a proven teeth-straightening alternative to conventional braces. Not only are they virtually invisible, but Invisalign clear plastic aligners are also a convenient, comfortable way to correct smile imperfections. At Butterfly Dental Care, we are a certified Invisalign provider for the San Jose area. As part of our orthodontic services, Dr. Chen and Dr. Nguyen use Invisalign to help our patients achieve beautiful, long-lasting, natural-looking smiles that they can’t wait to show off to others.
What is Invisalign?
First launched over 20 years ago, Invisalign is a revolutionary treatment alternative to traditional fixed metal or ceramic braces. Instead of bulky brackets and wires, Invisalign uses clear, flexible plastic aligner trays to gently and comfortably move your misaligned teeth into their intended positions in as little as 6 months.
What’s also great about Invisalign is that the trays’ removable feature allows you to eat all the foods you love, while offering you easy access for teeth brushing and flossing. Most of all, when your Invisalign treatment is through, you’ll have a straight, beautiful, natural-looking smile!

How Long do I Need to Wear Invisalign Aligners?
On average, most of our Invisalign patients achieve their smile-restoring goals within 6 to 24 months. When the initial level of smile correction needed is more pronounced, after the initial Invisalign treatment is over it may be necessary to wear a nighttime retainer for several additional months to ensure all your smile restoration goals are met.
Alternatives to Invisalign
In addition to conventional fixed braces and Invisalign, we offer these teeth-straightening alternatives:
Invisalign Express - Ideal for patients with minor crowding or spacing issues, Invisalign Express is a shorter-duration orthodontic treatment that works in the same way as traditional Invisalign aligners.
Invisalign Teen - If your teenager needs braces, Invisalign Teen gives them a reason to smile. As the newest addition to the Invisalign product line, Invisalign Teen allows younger patients to address their orthodontic needs while maintaining their active lifestyles and self-esteem.
